Chinese New Year is meant not only
for the people of China but it is
celebrated with equal flamboyance
all over the world. Whether it is
Delaware, Georgia, or Nevada,
Chinese New Year celebrations take
place all over United States of
America. In , Lunar New
Year will be celebrated on January
23rd. Las Vegas, New York City, and
Los Angeles are few places where
celebrations take place with
grandeur. Similarly, Chinese New
Year celebration in Las Vegas
is expected to be equally exciting.
The
Year of the Dragon begins 23 January with the
celebration of the Chinese New Year. Many Las Vegas
casino properties, including Wynn Las Vegas, shown
here, will be decked in red, the Chinese color for
good luck, and adorned in dragons and other New Year
symbols this week. By far and away, the largest
celebration of the Chinese New Year in Las Vegas is
in Chinatown, just off the Strip and west on Spring
Mountain Road. The Chinese American Chamber of
Commerce puts this party together every year and
it's very much intended to be a family friendly
event. It's officially an Asian Food Festival, so
come prepared to eat. This is the perfect place to
sample all kinds of authentic Asian dishes ranging
from Mandarin Chinese to Thai.
