Information:
The
course of the Limassol International
Marathon GSO is of a low degree of
difficulty. It is essentially a flat
race with its unique characteristic
being the long straight lines, and
the greatest part of the marathon
taking place along the coastal road
of greater Limassol. (Limassol City,
Akti Olympion (Olympion coast),
Germassogia, Agios Tychon, Ancient
Amathus to Pyrgos village).
The Start of the Race is on the
seafront of the Limassol city, Molos
area (the promenade) at 09.00 hrs on
20th February .All athletes and
walkers have to be at the start
point, at Molos, at least 1 hour
prior to the start time of the
events. In Km-25 we will take the
direction towards the new harbor and
will arrive there in the Km-30
passing from Christodoulou
Hadjipavlou Street, Spiros Araouzou
Street, Constitution, Xhelal Bajar,
and Franklin Roosevelt Avenue (which
is the palm tree lined road).
Passing in front of the new harbor
we will take a left direction
towards the Salty Lake where we will
reach the stadium of A.S. Zakaki.
There will be an incline of 180
degrees for the second time, taking
the opposite direction until we
reach the third incline of 180
degrees with a direction towards the
entry of the Harbor. In the Km-35
turning right and passing again from
the palm tree lined road, we take a
direction towards the historical
centre in the Km-40, with almost no
altitude differences to the finish
line on 28th October Avenue.
