The
Lisbon Marathon or the Cidade de
Lisboa Marathon is an annual
marathon held in Lisbon, Portugal in
the month of November or December,
established in 1986. Since 1990 the
race served as the national marathon
championships event. The Lisbon
Marathon already goes to its 25th
edition and continues being a great
popular success of participation. To
run the Lisbon Marathon is not only
to take part in a great race but
also a great chance of a better
knowledge of the centenary city of
Lisbon.
The
Half Marathon is a complementary
race of the Lisbon Marathon for all
those which do not have an adequate
preparation for the mythical 42
kilometres and do not want to miss
the event. The Mini Marathon is
around 6km is a non competitive
race, no timing, no classification
will be taken, however, every
entrant will get a T-shirt and medal
at the finish. Come and enjoy the
lisbon marathon, the streets of the
city will learn you the history of
the country. Conditions to
participate: Athletes born in 1992
or before will are admitted. The
Marathon is a race open to every
athlete.
Neither Bicycles, skates nor others
wheeling vehicles will be not
permitted on the course race, except
wheelchair that have a special
classification, or official vehicles
