Dallas Stadium. The Edgefest is
Edgefest 22 and takes place on 22
April , sponsored by KDGE, a
Dallas, Texas, based radio station
operating on FM frequency 102.1. It
is owned and operated by Clear
Channel Communications and plays
'alternative rock.'
The
station features an annual music
festival called Edgefest once or
twice a year. Past Edgefest acts
included Pearl Jam, The Charlatans,
Sugarcubes, Tripping Daisy, Seether,
The Origin, Nickelback, Staind, My
Chemical Romance, Muse, The Killers,
Placebo, Kaiser Chiefs, Weezer, The
Toadies, Blue October, INXS, Beck,
Social Distortion, Everclear, The
Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Default,
KoRn, Deftones, Hole, Phoenix,
Flogging Molly and Drowning Pool.
The first Edgefest was documented in
the Jerry Lentz film "Angry Blue
Planet."
FC
Dallas Stadium (formally Pizza Hut
Park) is a soccer-specific stadium
with a 21,193-seat capacity, built
and owned by the city of Frisco,
Texas. Its primary tenant is Major
League Soccer (MLS) team FC Dallas,
which relocated from the Cotton Bowl
in central Dallas to the
fast-growing suburb. In 2005, the
naming rights to the facility were
acquired by the large pizza chain
Pizza Hut whose corporate
headquarters are in Addison, Texas
(a northern Dallas suburb). On
January 7, , the naming rights
sponsorship ended and the facility
is now known as "FC Dallas Stadium".
